Jujitsu Expert Nominated for Top Award
Renowned Jujitsu expert Lucci Del-Gaudio has once again been nominated for a Martial Arts Hall of Fame award.
Lucci, a trainer in the martial art for over 25 years, has been mentoring students in Combat Ju-Jitsu, a traditional Japanese Jujitsu – which combines the art with reality-based street training defence – at the Highbank Community Centre in Clifton.
The award is designed to acknowledge and celebrate the input that instructors from across the Country have contributed to the world of Martial Arts.
Lucci, from Clifton, has previously won the award last year and is now hoping to make it two in a row and cement his name in local Martial Arts history.
His work has been widely commended within the community, through his unique teaching style and newly introduced self-defence courses, which have significantly helped to train vulnerable residents on how best to stay say safe on the streets.
The highly-esteemed coach, who originally began training in Shotokan Karate, is thrilled and privileged to be nominated for the award for a second time in his illustrious career.
He said: “Winning this award again for me would be an honour.
Lucci runs a Jujitsu class at Silverdale Community Centre on Thursday evenings at Silverdale Community Centre from 6.00pm – 7.oopm. All ages welcome.
